Sexual Health Week runs from 12-18 September and this year will be focusing on sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

There were over 435,000 STI diagnoses in England in 2015, and rates remain high across the UK compared to other western European countries. Sexual Health Week is the perfect time to learn more about STI prevention. You can find out more about the campaign on the FPA website.

How can we help?

At UCSU we strive to provide information on sexual health to all our members. Visit our Sexual Health web pages or contact suadvice@cumbria.ac.uk

We work closely with the NHS Chlamydia Screening team, promoting sexual health and screening of young adults. We run regular fun events during the year, raising awareness of Chlamydia and providing screening and fun freebies and incentives. Details of upcoming screening will be published on our website prior to each event. We also offer postal screening kits.

For further information on Chlamydia and the importance of screening please visit: www.best2know.co.uk or email chlamydia.team@northlancs.nhs.uk

UCSU is a registered condom pick-up point for the Free Condoms service. To find out more and for more details on pick up points, download the iCondom app for free.
