Awards

Every year, over 400 students give their time for free to ensure their class has a voice or to run an activity, leisure or academic group. Some students instead inspire us by the way in which they tackle life, sometimes in difficult conditions but nonetheless always moving forward! We think this is pretty cool and that their efforts should be recognised and the Awards aim to do just that!

Both staff and students are invited to make their choice and put forward a deserving individual for one of the award categories - the more the better!  A panel is then put together to select those that particularly stand out in each award category.

All students, nominated or not, will then be invited to join us for the UCSU Ball & Awards which this year will take place on Friday 28th March. The event will be held at Ashton Hall in Lancaster and free transport will be provided for any student who wishes to attend.

The event will include a short presentation on the activity of UCSU, a buffet, the Awards and DJ and dance, all for the price of £5.00.
