Description

If you have an interest in our natural world, then this is the society for you!

Located at Ambleside Campus, the Conservation & Ecology Society is based in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside, and we aim to make the most of the amazing habitats around us.

What do we get up to?

• Visiting local woodland, wetland, coastal, and heathland reserves
• Going on nature walks
• Developing species identification skills
• Getting involved with local volunteering opportunities
• Working to improve the biodiversity of our own campus
• Wildlife quizzes and socials
• Taking part in monitoring our local wildlife
• And much, much more…

We aim to provide trips and activities that will help enhance personal career advancement, whilst still having great days out. Even if you aren’t looking for a future in conservation, or if you just have a love for the outdoors, this society is for you.
